How will i get my dog to be of the lead and stop him from being aggresive to other dogs?

What kind of dog do you have? How old is he? How, exactly, does he behave toward other dogs? Has he always had this problem? If not, when did it start? Does he get lots of hard vigorous playful exercise every day, preferably where he gets to bite a toy as part of the game?
