Giving Animals A Voice Through An Animal Blog

Some animals are very expressive; if you spend enough time with them you can begin to pick up on what they say. If you are a cat person, you can likely tell the difference between the I want to be fed look and the I need to go hunt for mice outside look. Many dog owners will swear that they can communicate with their pet friend as well as any human friend - and perhaps better. A dog is a man's best friend after all.

That said, we are not quite at Dr. Doolittle's level of communicating with animals. None of us are going to take a kangaroo to tea, for instance. But the current explosion of pet blogs range from the type that provide animal information to the type that document an animal's life, suspected thought patterns, preferences in food, and television habits.

While the latter kind may be entertaining and may possibly become the precursors to a new wave of reality web programming, the former are a great source of information right from the horse's mouth, as it were. These informative web logs provide both general and specific information for animal owners, lovers, and trainers, that can be used to enhance pet health, modify pet behavior, or provide pet know-how in every conceivable area.

The variety of animal blogs that are threaded throughout the internet is wide and exceptionally diverse. There are blogs kept by vets, detailing their experiences with their patients; blogs kept by people who follow the news to glean examples of animal heroism and exceptionalism; and blogs kept by owners, detailing the challenges and rewards of pet ownership. Other examples of animal blogs include a focus on animal conservation, or animal science, as well as blogs geared towards a specific animal, even a specific breed of animal - Shetland ponies for instance.

Whatever your connection to animals, there is sure to be a blog that tickles your interest. And, perhaps, if you feel the urge, you can even create an animal blog of your own. Just make sure you get Rover's permission first.
