Head to Toe Dog Cleaning Tips

2016/5/4 10:26:01

It is fun to see our dogs running around and getting dirty because it is natural for them to do so. We even think it is quite cute when they goof around childishly in garbage cans and dirt. But at the end of the day, do we really want a dirty dog beside us?

Do you find it hard to get your dog cleaned from the toes up to the ears because he will not stay still? Do you find it annoying that your dog is so dirty and grimy and you can already see ticks and other parasites on his body? The good news is, that there are simple guidelines for cleaning your dog that any canine owner can follow. Here are some tips on how to totally clean them from the paws up.

BATHING

Your dog does not really need a lot of washing but to keep them smelling fresh, we bathe them frequently. However, dogs can go a long time without the need for bathing. This of course depends on how much time they spend outside, etc.

TEETH

You need to brush your dog's teeth at least twice a week. You would also need some special dog toothpaste and a toothbrush for your dog. Small circular strokes would be enough to clean your dog's teeth. You may need to brush their canines in an up and down motion, too.

PARASITES

To remove ticks from your pet, feel them or look for them in your dog's fur, collar belt, or between their toes for these are the common hiding-places of these parasites. They feed on your dog's blood and may carry some diseases which could be harmful for your dog.

Fleas are another kind for they can jump around more easily than ticks. You may need some professional help in removing these parasites.

EARS

In cleaning your dog's ears, you will need some special ear cleaning solution that you can buy at any local pet store for them. Put a drop or two in some cotton and swab on the insides of your dog's ear. This will inhibit the build-up of wax in their ear canal and prevent any parasite from feeding on it which can cause possible serious health problems.

Keeping your dog in tip-top shape requires regular bathing and cleaning of their hard-to-reach areas to keep away bacteria and parasites from living off of their health. They could pose some serious health problems in your dog if left unchecked specially for a long periods of time. So one must be sure to check and clean his doggie regularly and take him to the vet for some serious check-ups.This will help keep your dog in good condition.
