Taking Control Of Pug Problem Behaviors

You have finally been able to bring home your new Pug and you feel that you started out on the right track and you may very well be correct. You bought everything you needed such as food, a collar, a leash, a bed, potty training pads and a few toys along with everything else one would need for a dog. You may have also read up a lot on what to expect from your dog but something a lot of people forget to read up on are the Pug problem behaviors that they give their owners on occasion.

The worst thing that you can do to your Pug, and the relationship that you are trying to build with him or her, is to show a lot of anger because of a mistake. Although your little Pug is trying to test you, just as any child would, you are still very much loved by your little furry friend and the last thing they want to do is to make you mad in any way, shape or form.

But while you do not want to hit your dog, you do want to scold them in a way that shows them who is the boss. So at the first moment of your little one showing signs of Pug problem behaviors, make sure that you look right at them and state the word no either once or a few times.

So when your Pug is showing signs of behavior issues, it is important to take care of it right away so that not only you, but also your dog is safe as well. By taking quick and authoritative actions, you can make sure that you are the one in control.

Never use force such as striking a dog in anyway in order to make the point you are in charge. But what you can do, without screaming, is use a deeper toned and firm voice with the dog when they have done wrong and state the word no a few times.

And it will not be the fault of the dog because you allowed them to think they were in control over you instead of it being the other way around.

By taking the right steps as soon as trouble starts to occur, you are saving yourself from a world of trouble. Never let anything slip past you as what may seem like nothing much now may turn into a terrible disaster in a few months.

Your pet wants to please you and strives to make sure that you are happy so when your voice indicates that you are unpleased, he or she will get the point. Try to never let Pug problem behaviors go because they will grow into something that will get completely out of control and possibly too big for you to handle. Make sure that you try and correct a bad behavior as soon as it is displayed and every time it is displayed after that.
