What is Wireless Dog Fence?

Every dog owner knows that a proficient dog fence is required so that the dog stays within the boundaries of the house and doesn抰 try to run away. There are several containment systems which include wooden fence, iron fencing, wired fencing and electric fencing. There is another type of pet containment system which has launched recently and slowly gaining popularity over the other fencing systems. This is the wireless dog fence containment system.

A wireless dog fence system consists of a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter is usually placed in the center of the house or very near to the house yard. When the power outlet is given, the transmitter releases some radio frequencies which make a circular field around the house. Now, the receiver usually comes in a form of collar which is put on the neck of the dog. When the dog tries to go near the boundary of the containment area, a warning beep is emitted from the receiver which warns the dog not to go further. It doesn抰 harm the dog抯 ears but surprises it and the animal takes the signal to stay away.

If the dog is curious and/or stubborn, then it might try to ignore the sound and move further. Then a harmless static shock is given by the receiver to the dog when the dog has reached the boundary. This shock surprises the dog and it comes back within the boundary. The wireless dog fence system is certainly the best as the user doesn抰 have to go through any installation procedure or setup wires etc. to make use of the fence.
