Health For Deserving Pets, The Natural Approach

Health isn’t just for people.

If you are anything like I am you consider your pet to be “part of the family”. When you think about it that’s because they really are.

Pets are entertaining, smart, lovable, loyal, fun, and playful; they’re there for you when you are feeling up…or down. I look at my relationship with my dog to be almost like a marriage. It may sound silly but she is there for me through thick and thin, better or worse. What more could I ask for?

Sure there are times when I feel a little troubled or rushed for time and I wonder, “could I feed you later, or can that walk wait till tomorrow”? But that never happens. Truth be told she has her few demands and they are always met. Why? Because I love her. She is my little fury friend and she is always there when I need her. She gives far more in return with her love, amusement, personality and her sweet loyal demeanor. So I am more than happy to reciprocate. My life is all the better with her in it.

My dog, a beautiful blonde little Chi, is 5 years old now. The funny thing is everyone who encounters her thinks she is still a “puppy”. I attribute a good part of this to her health. I haven’t raised her on store bought food, I never vaccinated her and I don’t give her “medication”. I’ve taken the natural approach as much as possible, with regards to her diet, and I believe it has paid off. She is really never sick and the only problem she has had since birth has been treatable with an herbal remedy.

My secret is, the natural approach that I take. I make her healthy food myself and she gets nutrition daily. It takes me no time at all to mix up a batch of her food, and contrary to what some people may think, it’s actually much cheaper to do so. It also saves me the expense of medical bills because she is so healthy that I never have to take her to the vet.

My belief is that we all have deserving pets and if we want to continue to have them around for as long as possible, we have to ensure that their health is properly maintained. Just as we do for ourselves and our family members.
