     Refer to it as Halloween, Allhallows eve, or even Walpurgis Night. Have you ever noticed, for whatever reason, some people go a little overboard on Allhallows. Putting your animals outdoors for Allhallows is just not safe any more. Peruse these ideas to keep your critter from harm during this celebration.

Regrettably, there are many of folk tales where animal companions have been bagged, taunted, bruised, mutilated and even killed on Halloween night. Place your animals under a roof for the evening.

One should not let your animal to nibble your halloween candy. At some point during the night, your pet will approach and give you the sad eyes and beg for one of your candies. Never give in. Chocolates can dispatch your animal companions with only very minute amounts and who wants to use their pet as a guinea pig.

As a substitute, go to the cupboard and whip up some pet snacks. When you or your kids are consuming on the Halloween junk food, give your pet one of their tasty treats. So why not give them a warm fuzzy and will stop them from bothering you nonstop.

The leftover plastic from the candy is deadly. They can be lethal if they get jammed in your pet's digestive tract. It can make them very sick, and in some cases even cause death.

If you work own a pet store, or work at a pet store, or volunteer at your local Humane Society, don't sell black cats to anyone during the month of October. Not surprisingly, there are some very sick people who will buy black cats in order to destroy them.

Make sure you do not have any unattended fires around the household. One could always use some bright battery powered lights for your pumpkins. A dog's tail can knock over candles and pumpkins just like a mysterious cat can. Your critter could get severely burnt, or worse still, start a serious fire in your house.

Dressing your mutt in a costume can be a blast. Just keep in mind that unless your pet is receptive to the idea of wearing a costume, don't force them to wear one. They can be uncomfortable, restrictive and even cause anxiety in a pet that doesn't want to wear one. Bear in mind, there are a lot of people in our cities running around and lots of loud noises. You pets are going to be under enough strain already. If your pet looks fearful or uncomfortable in their new getup, either remove it immediately, or remove it after you've taken a few photographs for family and friends to show them how homely your pet looked.

Masks on your pet may sound like a sensational concept...for you! Pets rely on their eyes to let them know what's happening around them. If you confine their vision, they may freeze up or get frightened more easily, making them more probable to snap at a stranger. If you do decide to annoy your poor pet with a disguise, just make sure that you give them very big eye holes so that you don't confine their vision.

If your critter can not handle being around a lot of strangers, put them in a nice, quiet bedroom for the evening. this will ensure that they cannot run out-of-doors when you're giving out candies. Also, if you're having a celebration, you won't have to worry about any person hurting or tormenting your pets. Provide them some food and water, and check on your pet periodically to make sure that they a-ok.
