What Your Rabbit is Telling You

Words are very important in revealing and portraying someone's emotion. Words make the world more expressive and meaningful. There are times that words are destructive. It is therefore important to be aware and mindful of the words that are coming out of our mouth because it can make or break someone or something. It is one way of saying that words are that powerful in the conduct of everyday life. There are times that we don't find the right word to express something right? When this happens, we make noises hoping that those noises are enough to portray whatever we feel inside. There are thousands of noises noted but at the end of the day, it is very effective in portraying someone's or something's message.

There is no doubt that animals make noises too since they cannot speak a word. Lions for example roar to get the message across. Snakes hiss to tell something. Other animals make noises to attract mate or scare an enemy. There are many noises that you can hear when you go to the wild. If you are considering a pet, you should be ready for the noises they make. You don't want to be rude and dismiss your pet after hearing the noises they make. It is important that you know what to expect so that you won't get agitated when they make one. If in this case you want a pet rabbit, it is helpful if you know the noises they make beforehand. Here are some noises they tend to make and hopefully you can get the message:

1. Tooth grinding (soft) - when you hear this, it means they are contented and delighted.

2. Tooth grinding (loud) - when you hear this, it means they are suffering from something.

3. Grunt- it means they are happy, excited and interested.

4. Growl- it means they are agitated or angry. It might also indicate they are afraid of something.

5. Scream- it means they are in great pain so it would be best if you bring them to your Doctor. Sometimes it means panic.

6. Snort- it means pleasure while eating or grooming. You should be happy when you hear this because they are happy with you.

7. Foot thump- can mean two things: they either sense danger or they are just expressing their frustration or anger.

8. Mating noises- it seems that you can't understand the noise they are making when they are in this circumstance.

Generally, rabbits are silent but there are other rabbits that prefer to be more "vocal" to express whatever they feel inside. It is great to know the meaning of their noises because you will know when they are happy, contented and sad. If they are not quite happy, you can do something to make them feel better.

Aside from knowing their noises, it is important that you provide your pet rabbits with everything they need from food, shelter (hutches or cages), grooming and other care requirements. If you cannot provide them with whatever they need, it is better not to have them.
