PRODUCT INFO
D-Worm Liquid is an antiparasitic product for adult dogs and cats as well as for puppies and kittens.

WHAT THIS PRODUCT CURES
D-Worm liquid treats large roundworm (Toxocara canis, Toxocara cati, Toxascaris leonina) infections in kittens, cats, puppies and dogs.

PET SYMPTOMS
Roundworms (Toxocara cati, Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina) is a parasitic worm living in the intestines of dogs and cats. Adult animals ingest the roundworm eggs in contaminated food, water, feces or vomit. Puppies and kittens can get infected during pregnancy or when drinking milk from an infected mother. During their life cycle, roundworms can migrate through the liver and lungs and cause damages of those organs. Roundworms can cause serious health issues in puppies and kittens as well as in older animals. Infected dog or cat has swollen abdomen, is lethargic, without appetite, coughing, vomiting.

PET AILMENTS
Roundworms can cause abnormalities of the nervous system, damages of the liver and spleen. In puppies and kittens as well as in older animals, they can even lead to life threatening conditions.

RELATIVE INFO ON BREEDS MOST ASSOCIATED WITH THIS AILMENT
There is no particular breed predisposition for any of parasitic infestations in dogs and cats. All dog and cat breeds are susceptible to roundworms. Outdoor pets are prone to internal and/or external parasite infestations as a result of their diet and lifestyle.

QUESTIONS FOR MY VET
1. What is D-Worm Liquid and how does it work?
a) D-Worm Liquid is an antiparasitic product used in the treatment of roundworm infections in dogs and cats, as well as in puppies and kittens. The active ingredient of D-Worm, piperazine, paralyses the parasites in the intestine, and they are excreted with feces.
2. Is D-Worm safe for my pet?
a) D-Worm is safe for dogs and cats; it is even safely used in young puppies and kittens. It rarely causes side effects. However, consult with your veterinarian before administering D-Worm to pregnant or severely debilitated animals. Puppies and kittens younger than 6 weeks should not be treated with D-Worm.
3. How is D-Worm used?
a) D-Worm is simple to administer. The proper dose is calculated according to the animal's weight and mixed with the usual food or treat. D-Worm is administered as a single dose when a roundworm infection is suspected.
4. What are the side effects of D-Worm?
a) Side effects of D-Worm are rare, but can occur in certain cases. They include vomiting, nausea and muscle tremors. In animals infected with a large number of roundworms D-Worm can cause intestinal obstruction or rupture.
5. What other drugs can interact with D-Worm?
a) Do not use D-Worm with laxatives since they reduce the effectiveness of it. Laxatives shorten the time D-Worm is in contact with the parasites.
6. What if my pet accidentally overdoses with D-Worm?
a) In case of accidental overdose stop administering D-Worm and seek veterinary help immediately. The most common overdose symptoms include vomiting, muscle tremors, nausea, weakness, depression, paralysis, difficulty breathing and others.
7. What if I miss a dose of D-Worm?
a) D-Worm is given as a single dose usually prescribed by a veterinarian. In case you miss a dose, administer it as soon as you remember. Never administer a dose of D-Worm different from the one your veterinarian prescribed.

HOW IT WORKS
The active ingredient of D-Worm is piperazine, a potent antiparasitic effective against large roundworms in dogs and cats. Piperazine paralyzes the adult parasites in the intestine causing them to be eliminated with the feces of the treated animals. Paralyzed worms are alive for a short period of time outside of their host.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
D-Worm should be administered according to the veterinary and product label instructions. The liquid is meant for oral administration. It is not necessary to withdraw food prior to D-Worm administration. The appropriate amount of D-Worm liquid is mixed with food or pet treats. In some cases, roundworms can be seen in the feces of the treated animal within one or two days of administration. It is advisable to confine the pets (if possible) during that period so that the feces can be collected and removed. In case of re-infection with roundworms, the treatment may need to be repeated after two weeks.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
D-Worm liquid is administered orally, and the dose is determined according to the animal's weight. Weigh the animal before administering D-Worm to ensure proper dosing.
