Review of Wellness Cat Food Products

Just recently, I had experienced a traumatic event that involved my Bengal Cat. It all started over a week ago, when I noticed that something wasn't quite right with my playful little kitten. Her demeanor had changed and she started to fall in to a depressed state of affair. My kitten was no longer interested in playing with me and instead she just sat around the house with her body tucked up tightly underneath herself. She had lost her appetite, was barley drinking any water, was constantly vomiting and was even having episodes of diarrhea. Over the next couple of days, I started to become more and more worried over the situation and eventually I sought the help of several different veterinarians.

Eventually, with the last veterinarian visit, the doctor suggested for me to try a special canned cat food that was formulated especially for the digestive care of cats. The veterinarian also sent us home with an antibiotic by the name of Clavamox, as well as a paste that would be injected down the cat's throat, which would prevent the diarrhea from happening. I was skeptical that any of this would work and was convinced that she had swallowed something that was obstructing her digestion, which would need to be extracted through expensive surgery. But to my surprise, later on that night, she actually started eating the cat food that was given to me by the veterinarian and she was also drinking a lot of water as well. I sat there watching every move she made, making sure that none of it would come back, up which none did. She had a miraculous turnaround and was starting to get back to her old self. Later on, it was decided upon, that what was wrong with my Bengal kitten, was that she had a thing called Irritable Bowel Syndrome. As a consequence of this, she now has to be on a strict diet that consists only of the canned cat food that is specially formulated for the digestive care of cats. The reason being, that any of those other kinds/brands of cat foods could potentially irritate her digestive tract or bowels again.

Since, the specially formulated canned cat food could only be purchased at the veterinarian's office, I was forced in having to explore other routes or means of acquiring a similar product. With this in mind, I decided that I would first get in contact with my grandmother, who also has multiple cats and has many years of experience in dealing with cats. I was able to explain the situation to my grandmother and after hearing everything I had to say, she made the suggestion to try a different brand of cat food, called Wellness. My grandmother explained to me that she and a couple of her friends, had all experienced positive results when using the Wellness brand of cat food.
