Well there could only be one winner from the 200 plus entrants in The Suns Kitten Idol Contest, and Bootsy came out on top and was crowned with the prestigious award. At the time of the competition Bootsy was only 8 months old and managed to win the hearts of all the readers and voters in the competition. This online kitten beauty pageant competition appears to be the first of its kind, and was well received by pet owners and kitten lovers from all over the world.

Although Bootsy won the ultimate prize and the crown, competition was fierce with so many adorable kittens to decide upon. In the end there could only be one winner, and there could only be 10 finalists in total, so getting to the final 10 could be classed as an achievement in itself. All of the 10 finalists and their owners should feel very proud to have been involved in the competition.

The public weren't the only ones to fall in love with the once lonely and abandoned Bootsy, Frances Green, Bootsy's owner was also captivated enough to rescue him and he quickly became a much loved member of the family, including being adored by Frances Greens 3 other feline friends, also previously abandoned and provided with a loving home by Frances. Bootsy, therefore was definitely a well deserving winner on all accounts and would have even had 3 extra votes at least, if cats also had the capacity to cast their vote in this extremely popular and fun online competition.

The prize that awaited Frances and Bootsy involved a years worth of pet food and a comfy kitten basket supplied by the leading pet store chain, Pets at Home.
