An average human sleeps 8 to 9 hours a day where as an average dog sleeps for more than 14 to 16 hours a day for which a cozy bed is very necessary. These beds come in different kinds of design, colors and also according to the height of the mattress. These mattress ranges from a thin pad up to 7 to 8 inches thick foam. Such beds will make your dog sleep the way he likes the best and will make his sleep warm and cozy. Before buying such beds you must measure the length and width of your dog while is at sleep, add 12 to 14 inches in your measurement and then look for a bed that fits your required size to ensure that your dog does not get uneasy in his new bed.
Dogs who prefer to sleep both ways can easily adjust into an oval as well as into a rectangular bed. But the size of the bed must be in accordance with the measurement of your dog while he is sleeping at stretch so that the bed does not get uncomfortable for him when he wants to stretch himself.
