Dont Let A Pet Force You To The Payday Loan Lender

We are a nation of pet lovers. In fact, thirty nine percent of U.S. households own at least one dog and thirty three percent own at least one cat. Does our love for our pet go so far as to send us to the payday loan lender when we need cash to support Fido or Fluffy?

Pets are a prevalent aspect of American society - those of us who do not own a pet know someone who does, there is a never ending supply of pet themed movies coming out in theaters, and entire aisles are devoted to pet products at the grocery store.

With this constant exposure to four-legged life, you may be tempted to go down to the pet store and pick up a new friend. Before doing so, you should know that pets require a lot of time and money. Proper pet ownership requires that you prepare yourself for such expenses, as you do not want to be forced into the choice of getting rid of your newly acquired friend or taking out a payday loan to cover the many costs of keeping him or her. Before pulling out a cash advance and buying a puppy from the neighbors, there are a few things you need to consider.

Pet ownership requires a lot of effort. Remember, pets are living creatures that need love, attention, and education just like humans do. They do not come with the foreknowledge of where to go to the bathroom, how to stay quiet, or how to heel. These are things that you must teach them, and if you do not have the time or energy to do so, then you can only blame yourself for that surprise in your shoe, or the four hours of sleep you got due to the constant interruption of a barking dog. Pets are animals that act on instinct unless otherwise trained. If you fail to do so, then you must live with the consequences, i.e. an unruly pet.

In addition to training, pets require a lot of maintenance as well. Open air, exercise, affection - these are all things that a pet needs in order to be happy and healthy. This means regular walks, and lots of play time and petting, all of which can be quite time consuming. And unless you want to ensure that your place becomes the no hang-out zone, you are going to need to do regular cleaning, including poop patrol, vacuuming, and bathing. Your pet is going to be a central part of your life, and as such it deserves your devoted attention. If you cannot give it that, then this is the first indication that you should fight your impulses and not buy a pet.

Finally, pets require not only time and effort, but money as well. Pets themselves can cost quite a bit, though these costs may be reduced or even eliminated entirely if you choose to adopt a pet in need. However, even after the initial cost of purchase, pets will continue to drain your wallet or purse, as the cost to maintain your pet is never-ending. Health cost for pets can quickly add up, as you must pay for your pets to be spade or neutered, and vaccinated. Equipment like leashes, litter boxes, doggy beds, and scratching posts are just some of the initial purchases you will need to make, and recurring costs such as food, kitty litter, snacks, etc. will continue to put a dent in your wallet. While such costs may be worth it, as you are very likely get a best friend out of it, you will want to be sure that your new pal is not going to force you into taking out a payday loan that is not in your best interest.
