It is very reassuring to know that the people that are keeping us safe and free from crime are highly trained indeed. With such a huge responsibility on the shoulders of each and every police officer in the UK, Police training has to be incredibly professional and thorough.

Before any officer is able to be trained, it is essential that they are able to pass certain tests and interviews aimed at gauging their suitability. This is a period in which you tend to be supervised by a more experience officer until you gain more confidence and have tried out all of the skills that you have just learned. This means that you won't be thrown into the deep end and you will never be asked to do something you are not instinctively sure about.
