Both dogs need regular exercise and you must take them for regular walks. It helps if you have a large house since they can move around easily and get some exercise also. If they do not get regular exercise they have a tendency to gain weight which may cause health issues.

Rottweilers have several health issues including hip dysplasia, osteochondritis, parvovirus and dissecans. They also tend to gain weight very fast which can result in health problems. An Australian Shepherd also has many health problems including hip and back issues, problems with vision and pancreatic issues. While the Australian Shepherd is very social and is good around children, the Rottweiler needs to be trained early. They are both very intelligent and loyal breeds as well and need regular exercise. In the absence of regular activity they may face health issues.

It is good to have some amount of space inside the house so that they can move around and get their daily exercise. They also need moderate grooming and display seasonal shedding.
