Dog Clean Up Tips For Your Adorable Pooch

Dog cleanup is very important we all know, it keeps the dog healthy and free from all fleas, ticks, and related infections. However, it is very important to clean the dog in the right manner so that it does not fall ill due to constant exposure to water. If shampoo residues are left behind then it will cause skin irritation in dogs. Therefore, here are few tips of cleaning the dog in the right manner.

A few simple steps for cleaning the dog

1) Arrange all things : The first step for bathing the dog is to make a list of all things that you will be requiring in the procedure at one place. The dog has to be pampered a lot for being calm during the bathing process therefore if you leave it in-between the process and go to fetch something, it will get irritated for sure.

Things that you need for dog cleanup are -

1) Good quality mild shampoo and conditioner
2) Thick cotton towel
3) Bath tub or a tub filled with Luke-warm water
4) Comb
5) Treat for the dog
6) A rubber mat
7) The bathing tub must have an attached hand shower

2) Brush the dog - Before bathing the pet, brush its coat properly. Show some love to it and give few treats so that it does not get irritated during the process.

3) Bathing the pet - The next step of dog cleanup is to pour water (warm water) all over the pet, even on its head. Take some drops of shampoo in your palm and apply it at different places on the dogs wet coat. First start with the neck region and form a rich lather. After the neck region then move to the rest of the body. Form rick lather all over its body. Then at the end take two drops of shampoo and rub it over its head to form lather. Make sure that the shampoo does not enter its eyes, ears, and mouth. Place large cotton balls in its ears (NOT SMALL)

You can prepare a soapy solution in the tub and slowly place the pet there for shampooing. The height of the water filled in the pet must reach until the shoulder of the pet and not above that.

4) Wash the pet - After this place the dog in the tub and pour water over it with the help of a mug. It is always better to use a hand shower for the final step of dog clean up, as it will clean the dog easily and in less time.

Make sure that you wash it properly, start with the head region first. Take someones help, as water must not enter its ears. There must not be any shampoo residue left over on its coat. Lastly dry the dog properly, use a thick towel. You can use a hair dryer but place it at a distance from the dog and not very near. Do not use for a long time.
