If you own a dog, then you probably already know that dogs are a lot like children. You have to take care of them and constantly watch them to make sure they don't get into any sort of trouble. So every time you take your beagle out for a walk, you have to pay close to attention to the things your beagle sniffs out to ensure he doesn't find some trash and eats it. Well what about inside your house, there shouldn't be any dangers for your beagle dog inside your home right? Well not exactly. Even your own house posses some dangers especially if your beagle is an untrained dog.

A lot of the cleansers like the toilet bowl cleaner and pool chemicals contain acids like hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid and phosphoric acid. Such chemicals can cause mouth ulcers, drooling, lack of appetite, vomiting, panting and shock if ingested. If your beagle dog gets a hold of such chemicals you should call your vet immediately and give your beagle some milk or water to drink. Such chemicals can have negative effects when in contact with your beagles skin so make sure you get your beagle In bath and rinse the chemicals off.

Another dangerous common household hazard is alkalis. It's usually contained in toilet bowl cleaners, drain cleaners and dishwasher detergents. Alkali batteries also contain it so be careful where you leave your batteries. Alkalis ca burn through tissue deeper than the acids mentioned before so make sure your beagle has no way of reaching them.

Almost every household these days contains bleach and Clorox and these items posses a lot of poisonous toxins that can be extremely harmful to your beagle dog. Chemicals like sodium peroxide, hypochlorite salts and sodium hypochlorite, which are found in bleach and Clorox, can irritate your beagle's mucus membranes and esophagus. If your beagle ingests some of these chemicals, your dog may suffer from drooling, vomiting, abdominal pain and sore throat. Contact with the beagles skin should be washed thoroughly.

Moth balls are also considered to be in the harmful section. Because the moth balls are small, your beagle could swallow one of these little balls without you even noticing. Ingesting mothballs can cause vomiting by your beagle and seizures. If you keep mothballs in your closet, make sure you keep the door closed so your beagle dog can't get to them. I've heard several stories of beagle dog owners coming home and discovering that their beagle has got into their closet and found some of these nasty things. These things are dangerous for children as well, keeping these things away from reach would be a great idea.

Studies have showed that leaving your beagle unattended around these things significantly increases the chance of your beagle getting hurt. Keep these things locked up out of reach from your beagle dog is suggested by many experts. Such toxins aren't found in nature so the bodies of animals hadn't had enough time to adopt to eliminate such toxins. Exposure to them can cause several health hazards so please take care of your beagle and keep your home clean of these chemicals to avoid any hazardous situations.
