27 18:05:57
The Dallas Cowboys remained the sole leaders of the Eastern Division of the National Conference of the NFL after winning last night against the Philadelphia Eagles with a score of 20-16. The New York Giants’ defeat to the San Diego Chargers in the final minute gave Dallas first place with a record of 6 wins and 2 losses, followed by the Eagles with 5 wins and 3 losses, and then the Giants with 5 wins and 4 losses.

This is the fourth consecutive victory of the Cowboys in the NFL, who have only lost twice this season.

Both teams kicked off the game with great enthusiasm and energy. However, it was not until the last 8 minutes of first quarter that Dallas scored with a play that came from "Wild Cat" training. Running back Tashard Choice snatched the ball and carried two yards for the first touchdown: 7-0 Dallas. In the second quarter, David Akers scored two field goals of 45 and 48 yards before Dallas player, Nick Folk got one for 22 yards with four seconds to go in the first half, setting a score of 10-6.

In the third quarter, Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb took the lead for the Eagles with an 11-yard pass to Brent Celek, putting the score 13-10. This is the only time that the Eagles had the lead in the game.

Dallas quickly tied the game on the second play of the fourth quarter with a field goal from 33 yards by Folk to put the game at 13-13. This play resulted from an interception by Michael Jenkins to quarterback McNabb at the end of the third quarter.

During its next possession, Philadelphia just could not complete a play with only a yard left to move. The Cowboys were able to take advantage, advancing to retake the lead with a touchdown pass by quarterback Tony Romo to Miles Austin to set the score at 20-13.

Philadelphia still managed a 52-yard field goal by Akers, but Dallas wasted the remaining 3:37 to close the game with a 20-16 win. With this vengeful victory, the Cowboys moved to the top of the NFC East and at the same time maintain their winning streak to 4-0.

At the end of the game, Tony Romo got his fourth game of the season and third in the last four games by completing more than 300 yards-passing. During this game, he completed 21 of 34 passes for 307 yards with one touchdown and one interception, the first he suffered in the last four games.

Meanwhile, Donovan McNabb, Eagles quarterback, was intercepted twice after only giving up one of his passes to opponents in the beginning of the season. In the game, Mcnabb completed 16 of his 30 passes for 227 yards, with one touchdown and two interceptions.

The Dallas player, Michael Jenkins, said that it was incredible to win the game, putting last year’s game loss behind and beating the Eagles on their home turf. "We took it personally that no one was giving us any respect. We've been shutting receivers completely down, but people weren't talking about it. I think we made a statement tonight. To come into their house and walk away with a win ... I think it's a big statement," stated Jenkins.

The next game of the Cowboys will be against the Green Bay Packers on November 15th while the Philadelphia Eagles will face the San Diego Chargers on the same day.
