Cats or dogs, if you have owned any of these you would know what a menace these fleas can cause to them. They can come from the smallest of cracks in the window and can happen to you cat even if she never leaves the house or meets other animals. Once my neighbor who has a dog infected with fleas came over to use my phone. I insisted that the dog be left outside since I could see that he was infected and wanted to avoid my cat from getting them. My cat, however, did not have a single flea settling on to her thanks to the protective nature of her flea collar.

But of late one has heard that there is a new method of keeping fleas at bay. This is a flea medicine that comes in the form of drops and can be rubbed easily and evenly on to the coat of the animal. These cat flea medicines are available at any grocery or shop that has a pet corner and a visit to the veterinarian is not necessary to get a bottle of the same. Some people have mentioned that application of this flea medicine on the coat makes cats a bit disturbed and irritable for about 24 hours. Checking with a veterinarian will tell you that these medicines are not painful and neither do they cause any irritation of the skin. The sulky or snappy behavior probably stems from being subjected to any kind of medicine and the outrage that follows should be ignored for the higher cause of a flea-less pet
