Dog grooming is an art that has never gone out of style. As a dog owner it is your responsibility to groom your dog frequently to look more beautiful. All grooming need depends upon the type of breed and type of coat and then make a schedule of grooming with the help of your pet vet. Make sure you choose the right grooming tool and grooming products for your puppy.

Below I have mentioned few grooming basics.

1) Tooth Grooming - Teeth are important to eat and chew food and good dental hygiene will make teeth strong and healthy. Cleaning teeth daily with help of good brush and good toothpaste will be better option. Dental checkup should be done at least yearly once. Regular tooth brushing stimulates blood flow to the gums, helps to removes plaque and tartar, and prevents gum (periodontal) disease.

2) Ear Grooming - Dogs ear is very sensitive and delegate. They can be easily infected by bacteria or fungus. Minimum weekly once cleaning much needed. You can use the ear cleaning kit as a preventive measure of fungal and bacterial infection.

3) Brushing - Brushing frequency depends upon the type of coat dog has. Different breed has different type of coat. A regular brushing will keep the coat healthy and lush, stimulates circulation and gets rid of loose hair. Use a good quality brush for better results.

4) Washing - washing regularly is a good habit for your dog. It helps to get rid of dust, mud, and bad fragrance of puppy. Use warm water for bathing. This promotes skin health and a shiny coat.

5) Grooming eyes - Dogs eye have tendency to develop a layer of mucus around the eyes that needs to be cleaned. Some dog"s eyes run constantly. Because of this reason eye cleaning is much needed for good eye health and good vision. You can use simple clean cloth to wipe away this mucus.

6) Pedicuring - since dog spend these most of time playing in garden, nail trimming need to be done on weekly basis. Sometime over grown nails may be responsible for infection.

7) Clipping - For certain long-haired breeds Clipping is essential to prevent mats and skin problems.

8) Haircuts - This is for a dog who has continuously growing hair such as Poodle or Shih Tzu, hair cut is much needed after every 2-4 weeks depending on the breed of the dog and the style of the cut. But for this task you may have to take help from professional groomers.

Finally what I can say is every pet or dog deserves grooming style. This will help dog to look better, stay healthy and live longer with you.
