Are Your Birds Bored

2016/5/4 10:27:02

For those owners who don't want their pet birds to become bored due to being confined in a cage night and day, then bird cage stands that allow your bird to be outside their cage are the answer. The family bird can fly around the house and interact with people in the house, perch on their favorite ledge, torment the dog or cat all while exercising and stretching their wings. Birds get bored just like humans do.

Popular bird cage stands look like branches and offshoots. They consist of metal, plastic or wooden stands with one or more perches. Many owners also attach items to the perches as an added treat for the birds. If your birds are bored try putting mirrors, bird seed sticks, water or bells on the branches. Larger birds like Toucans and Parrotts are especially fond of tall tree-like stands for the independence they are afforded.

Bored birds frequently develop screeching or picking habits, becoming sad and nervous. These problems could be avoided with the appropriate bird cage stands. For some birds it is sufficient to have a stand with one perch--enough to allow the bird freedom to stretch.

Some birds, however, would be more suited to stands that actually resemble a tree with different branches. This stand permits birds to have the feeling of flying from perch to perch, closely resembling an outside environment.

For a vibrant bird that will have the opportunity to play with the people in their house, stands having playground platforms are the answer.

There are other bird cage stands that serve as the base for bird cages that can also eliminate boredom for your bird if they castors or wheels so that the bird cage can be moved to different sites. Such stands can even be rolled outside the home from time to time in order to allow the bird to savor the outdoor environment.

So when we refer to bird cage stands we are dealing with two totally different types. The first is a stand that permits the bird to get out of its cage and to love the joy of being free as a bird. These bird cage stands have a perch or perches allowing them to exercise and stretch. The second is actually a bird cage stand that supports the cage above it and can easily be moved from site to site.

If you want a happy bird that is not bored, you need both types of stands to provide the best living conditions for your pet.
