Picking the right cat for your environment

2016/5/3 15:07:33

First, a tame cat is very intelligent and fiercely independent creature. There can never be on a chain like a dog can. They know what they want, such as food and pleasure. And they will also make known when they want to be left alone. Thus, the owner of a cat cannot expect their pet to do “work” for him.

You will know when your cat is trying to solicit your attention. It is always around you, meowing, following you around with his body or rubbing against your leg. You can also find out if your cat is relaxed or frightened by the lifting of your cat. If the body is tense, then something is scaring the daylights out of it.

Different type breeds of cats have different personalities. Some cats are peaceful while others are meowing all the time. Can you bear continual meows? Some cats are fussy and picky on the goodies you give them, while others eat almost anything. Can you afford the type of food your cat prefers? Some cats don’t mind being encompassed by strange people, while others exercise their claws if they are faced with someone they have not met before. Does your household have tons foreigners, or are you alone most of the time? And some cats love to climb and knead on the lap of their masters. But others prefer to be alone, watching television, watching birds out the windows or listening to the radio. Are you the owner of a cat who loves to snuggle all the time?

Claws of cats very sharp. It is their disposition, similar to wild cats such as lions, tigers, leopards and cheetahs. This May anger the owner, especially if the cat decided to sharpen its claws on the couch. The owner may want to examine obtaining a scratching post, as it is very difficult to break bad habits!

Personality and breed of cats will decide if the cat decides to sleep. Some cats like being in isolated places where nobody can bother them. They like to lie in cupboards, closets, and particularly in high places like shelves. Other breeds of cats like to sleep in places where everyone converges. So they conk out in the center of the home, in the middle of the stairs and even on the couch, especially when there are guests.

So basically there are many things to consider when bringing your new friend home. The two main things to analyze are the disposition of the breed, and how agreeable they will be with your surroundings. A right match will give you years of great friendship. The wrong mixture, unfortunately, will result in an unhappy kitty, who will in turn make sure you share in the hardship!
