NFL Dog Collars: Making Your Mark

2016/5/3 14:51:43
We all know that dogs enjoy marking things. They spend endless hours sniffing along until they get to that certain spot where they absolutely must mark. By which I mean pee. Other animals do this too- cats rub their scent on everything they come across (and like) and male cats spray their territory. Humans mark territory too, with fences, wedding rings, and maps. It's just what animals do. We like territory, and we also like people to know where we've been, hence the proliferation of "George (or whomever) was here" scrawled all over the place. Benches, tables, carved into trees, it's like the world becomes a guest book for some. And well, if that's how it is going to be, let's get real with it.

Humans, like other animals, like to identify with a group. Like a wolf pack, we benefit from feeling like we belong in the pack. Some want to be leader of the pack, while others are content to let others lead. Either way, we're working our way up to NFL dog collars, so the transition needs to happen soon. Here's the thing: belonging to a group can be a lot of different things. It can be as obvious as your family, or as vague as being a sports fan. When people purchase NFL dog jerseys for their pets, you know that they are making an effort to show their team spirit.

An NFL dog jersey is something that can be worn (by a dog, obviously) to let a person show that they belong to a certain group. It may also serve as a community building exercise. After all, identifying other members of your community is desirable. Striking up conversations about your favorite football team at the park might just be a great way to make new friends, especially if your team is doing well. Superbowl parties are especially popular social gatherings, and certainly one place where NFL dog jerseys will abound, assuming that it is a dog-friendly party, that is.

If you have purchased an NFL dog collar or jersey for your dog, make sure that your dog is both safe and comfortable. For dog collars, you want to be able to slip two fingers underneath the collar comfortably, and the collar should not come over the dog's head. For a dog jersey, you want a fit that is not tight or compressing the dog anywhere, and one that does not inhibit their movement.
