Ever wonder what your pet is doing when you抮e not with him? Wouldn抰 it be nice to live in a perfect world and spend 24 hours a day with our pet? Unfortunately they can抰 read or watch TV. and tying them up the back yard isn抰 an option for caring owners. So what are they up too? They抮e waiting for us to come home usually, hoping we抣l entertain them. Even when we抮e home we抮e busy most times, in and out with errands and other things to do. Just because we抮e not there doesn抰 mean their little brains switch off. So making them most out of the time together is important for your dogs well being. There are simple things to do to make his life more fulfilling and grant both of you more time together.
Exercise for yourself is just as important for your pet, especially in the world we live in where we need an outlet to let off steam. We know your pet has to be walked to do his business but it doesn抰 have to be a chore, enjoy the time together walking getting some fresh air.Make it a routine to take a 30 minute walk together, longer would be better for your pet, try different routes in your neighborhood so it抯 not so boring. Make a pet date with other friends who have pets the next time you want to meet for coffee or tea, choose a pet friendly spot for everyone to meet and everyone will enjoy the interaction and you抣l still be able to spend time with your pet.Meal time doesn抰 have to be just throwing kibble in a bowl for your pet, it can be an experience for both of you, next time you feed your dog take the time to sit with him while he eats and talk to him, you might find yourself spilling your guts about something that抯 been on your mind or just clearing your thoughts, and he won抰 mind the company.
Any additional time spent with your pet is beneficial. We抳e only listed a few simple ones. Just remember his well being should be your first concern.
