They are loved by people across the world. They are one of the most popular small dog breeds. It is vital to care for them in the right way. Here are a few tips to bring up your pet to be a joyous one;

1. It is good to neuter or spay your bulldog. This will save your dog from breast cancer and uterine infection in the case of female dogs and testicular cancer, aggressive attitude and unhealthy prostate in the case of its male counterparts. Dogs that have has this surgery are known to live longer than the ones that did not undergo neutering or spaying.

2. Regular vet visits are mandatory to prevent diseases and curtail any that has already grown into your dog. This is much better and easier than curing a dog of any disease. Vaccinations at the right age for your dog will keep it bright and healthy devoid of flea, heartworm etc. A general monthly check up is advised.

3. Clean your dog抯 teeth professionally regularly. And keep your dog away from anesthesia. They are a foe to dogs. Respiratory problems may crop up if you take risks with anesthesia. Apart from his regular brushing about once a week is mandatory.

4. A balanced diet keeps your dog away from Vets. Maintain a healthy weight of your dog. This will eradicate respiratory problems which is common in obese pets. Low grain, protein and carbohydrate rich diet that is natural is the best diet for your dog. Raw foods suit French dogs perfectly. Regular exercise keeps your dog active too. Daily walks and few active plays are more than sufficient for your dog.

5. Bathe your dog periodically. Clean their ears without fail. Dog抯 nails should be maintained at comfortable lengths all the time. Clean your pet抯 face with a wet cloth as they drool and poke their nose into all possible things.

6. Obedience training teaches manners your dog. It is god to know when your pet best learns to be obedient from your vet. A well trained pet will be love by everyone. The much needed love and respect will be given to your pet if he is mannered and listens to your commands.
