William Goosak is a fur trader who brought the Siberian Huskies to America in 1909. He used the Siberian Huskies dog breeds because of their speed and energy. He joined the dog in the Alaska Sweepstakes Race and won the third place. This brought the attention of the people on this dog breeds. The Siberian Huskies became more popular to the people in Alaska. When an epidemic of Diphtheria stroke in Nome, Alaska they became the medical team helper to Nome, Alaska. This dog breeds gives medication to the people and became as one of the life savers in Nome. This event gives the Siberian Huskies the more popularity and National recognition. The Siberian Husky Club was founded in America last 1938.

In World War II the Siberian Huskies are very useful in search and rescue operation. The sled racing interest of this dog breeds was revived after the war. The increasing number of the Siberian Husky Kennels brought the dual purpose of Husky breeding. The Eva Seeley and Lorna Demidoff had successfully demonstrated that the Siberian Huskies can win the dog shows and rail traces. The first winner of the Best in Show at AKC (the show for all breeds) was Bonzo of the Siberian Huskies.

The male Siberian Huskies vary their weight from 45 to 60 pounds and 21 to 23.5 inches in height. The female Siberian Huskies ranges from 35-50 pounds in weight and 20 to 22 inches in height.
