Smokey, The Bombay Cat

I am a black cat and I am about 10 years old. That is about middle aged for a house cat. I was born on a farm and mama cat was a stray so we lived here and there. If the weather was bad we stayed in the tact room. I had five brothers and sisters. When I was 4 weeks old my humans came to take me to my forever home. Being just 4 weeks old I could not eat food so my humans fed me with an eye dropper.

In my new home there was an older cat named precious. She was there first so she was spoiled. When Precious would jump up on dad I jumped up there too. I would bite Precious on the rear. I got in trouble for that. Then when Precious would get in her bed I would sit on her until she moved over for me. I got in trouble for that too.

My first Christmas I really got in to trouble! My humans had a tree right in the front room. It had pretty lights and balls all over it. I climbed into the tree to look closer at the pretty lights when the tree fell down all over the living room. There was the Tree, lights, ornaments, presents, all over the floor. It was fun chasing the bulbs around. When my humans came home they were really mad. I got squirted with a stray bottle. I hate water!

One day dad decided he wanted to get a puppy. It was a german shepherd puppy. It was small and fuzzy. It was okay I guess. We had blue papers all over the house now so duchess could go on the papers instead of in the box like me. When she got into trouble, she did not get sprayed, they just talked to her. She chewed all the wood in her room..but now she does not do that. She brings big rocks or sticks in through the doggy door. Dad does not like that so they talk to her. I lay on her bed when she is outside. I do not bite her rear tho' because she has big teeth. Duchess is real big now, so I do not fight with her.

We are all happy now. I do not get caught doing bad things anymore. Mostly duchess is in trouble now.
