Children Love Their Pets

It is only natural for children to love animals and the pet that enters their home is loved by everyone. The pet could be a cat, dog, or bird or some exotic creature that comes from another country. Parents will usually select some of the tamer varieties of pets and most will choose fish as the first pets for their children. There is very little care involved with a fish and most children can manage feeding them everyday.

Some children are able to care for many pets at one time. Parents might select a few fish for the home, and also choose a dog that will live in the backyard. The pet owner might choose a pair of cats for the house because they are very easy to care for and offer less of a chance for their carpets to be ruined. Whichever pets the parents allow at home, the children are sure to fall in love with at first sight.

Most children will be very devoted to the pets they have. They will volunteer on a regular basis to give them a bath and some might ask if they can sleep with them at night. The parents might agree to the animal sleeping in the child's room but will stress the importance of the child sleeping alone. These recommendations do not always work but it is worth a try anyway.

Small boys will be overjoyed to learn that there is a new puppy in the home. The parents will be on guard for any missteps while the puppy is being potty trained. Some pet owners use pet diapers and pads to train their pet which makes everyone love the pet the same because the carpet seems to get dryer everyday. Puppies seem to grab at heart strings and nobody can blame a baby for a mistake.

Parents choose dogs as pets for their children because they are very affectionate. Children love dogs because they are very trustworthy and can be trained to do many tricks. Kids love it when they can take their pet to the beach and spend hours swimming in the surf with their new pet. Children bond with their pets in so many ways that some parents have a hard time separating them and this is especially true at meal time.

Some kids love their new kittens to but never comprehend why the fluffy pet hates water. The children might try to bathe the pet once but they never seem to be interested in doing it twice. As the kitten grows, the children will learn to love the pet because they are so cuddly and independent. They will find that they can cuddle with their cat just as close as they do their dog and never have to worry about their cat making a mess of the carpets. This trait makes the parents love the cat even more.
