In case your puppy is barking and just won抰 listen to you, it may be the way you are taking care of your dog. For example, if you have your puppy outside in the yard, it抯 better to bring her in the house if you want to train the dog effectively. A great way of doing this is by using the 揷ome?command which calls your dog over to you. The point behind this is that you are focusing your pet抯 attention on you, rather than outside noises or another bark he may hear. Your dog will be calm and relaxed, not as likely to bark this way.

Now moving onto the next step, get a friend to distract your dog. They can go on the side of the house and scratch at the wall, or even knock on the front door. Dogs have very sensitive hearing so will most likely hear a person coming to the home before anyone else does. Keep your dog on a leash and whenever your dog barks, give her the command to come.
