An Instance on How a Horse is Also Very Faithful to Its Master

The other day I was speaking to my dad and he told me that my grandfather was a very rich man. He lived in the countryside in a small village named Shepherds Ground. There were only twenty to thirty houses in that place during those times. All the people in the village had land to cultivate. Like others, my grandfather owned around fifty acres of land. Half of this land was not under cultivation and was a beautiful meadow.
Grandpa was very fond of horses and had ten of them in his stable. His favorite horse was white in color and he used to call it Whitey. This horse was really huge and the most energetic of all of them. None of the other horses could match its speed while running. Since he had all these facilities, he used to participate in competitions that were held in the nearby towns. And more of than not, Whitey had won and got him a number of medals that are still kept in the visitor's room in our guest house. Also there are a lot of photographs next to the cups and shields that he received. I have got a chance to see Whitey in one of the photographs. He really looks gorgeous, tall, and completely white. Next to it is my grandpa standing in one of the finest race tracks in those days, holding a shield that he won with Whitey.
Grandpa always told dad that Whitey was very soft in nature, and wanted people to play with him most of the time. However, at times he becomes very hard to control when agitated. One such day a worker who was working in the stable, went inside Whitey's cabin. Whitey was agitated and kicked him. The man got one of his leg fractured due to the intensity of the kick. He was taken to the hospital immediately and was on bed rest for about a month. However, Whitey was very fond of Grandpa and never played a mischief with him at any point of time. Many of my relatives would come there to take a ride on horses along the meadows. However, Whitey was very fierce for those reasons and would never let anybody ride on his back so easily. When asked a reason for this, it is said that the horse would never let a rider on his back, if it senses a fear in the person. Hence, most of my relatives and friends who went there got to ride only the other horses and not whitey.
When I heard this, I went into a kind of research trying to find out some of the facts behind this. It was really interesting to know that horses can sense fear of a person, while riding on its back or even trying to ride on it. One of the facts that I read, say that horses are so faithful that, it throws the person sitting on its back, if it senses fear. The only reason behind this is that, it is concerned towards its master. When it senses fear, it thinks the master is in danger and hence throws him away. We would have watched a lot of movies where horses do not allow anybody except their master to sit on it. That is because the master knows how to control it and only a person who has the same kind of skill will be able to control it. This could be a prestige for the horse as well. Inspired by my grandpa, I have ten horses in my stable. I am very concerned towards my horses and hence I have installed alarm systems like the ADT Alarm Systems that we use in our homes. This does not allow any body to enter the stable without my permission.
