     As a pet owner, you should be committed and responsible enough in their health condition, safety and comfort. It can be difficult at first but with proper guidelines and knowledge, you will be able to get through it. Pets also need love and care from their owners. They also have basic needs such as food and water, shelter and security. One of the most lovable and cute pets in the community today is the hamster. Kids will truly love their adorable and charming look. Since they are furry, people love to hug them. They are also pleasant and amusing to look at. Aside from that, hamsters have brilliant eyes with quick body movements. Observing them inside their cage while they are playing or sleeping will surely brighten up your day. There are several kinds of hamsters with different characteristics and abilities. For that reason, you must be able to identify their breed and characteristic so that you will be able to know the plan of care that they need or require.

The two popular breeds are known as the Syrian hamsters and the Dwarf. The Syrian is anti-social to other hamsters but they are larger in size. They are easier to handle and have longer hair. This makes them really cute and huggable. You can actually train them to walk in any part of your body and let them roam around your shoulders and arms. If they won't perform the routine that you are trying to teach, just be patient in repeating the process all over again and they will certainly master it in two to three weeks time. On the other hand, Dwarf comes in a smaller size compared to the Syrian. They have shorter hair and very active. You can rarely hold and train them because of their size and liveliness. They have lots of energy to jump off your palm each time you'll hold them. However, you can still train them to remain in your palm and walk along your shoulder. It is advisable to wear gloves in your first contact with the Dwarf hamsters because they are sensitive and will feel uncomfortable. As they get used to you as their owner, you can already hold them with bare hands. Be reminded that these two hamster breeds are harmless and can be considered as good pets. It only needs a little training for them to behave accordingly. It is very normal that they might bite you especially when they are playing but sooner or later, you can build a great relationship with them as time goes by.

Adults and children love hamsters. They are generally friendly, cute, huggable and energetic. Aside from that, they have unique and famous eating and sleeping habits which make them more attractive to people. They might be small but it can bring you lots of fun especially when you train them successfully. Just provide their basic needs and comfort and everything will be fine. They love to eat lettuce, carrots and cabbage. It is best to give them variety of vegetables in a day to avoid diarrhea.
