A dog food must not include these stuffs

Our pets are not just pets; they are our most loyal companion. They just need little bit love and care from us and in return gives us their unconditional loyalty and love. Taking care of pet does not just mean feeding them or providing them a home to live, it is actually far beyond that. There are various considerations of taking care of a pet and one of these is feeding it the right dog food.

There are many human foods which are mistakenly considered to be dog food. Some of these foods are not good for the dog if being fed for a longer duration while there are some foods which can be potentially dangerous even if given in small dose.

Grapes Grapes are extremely fatal for the dog; they have certain chemical which even in very less amount can cause liver and kidney failure in dogs. Even if grapes are present in any other food for instance cake, biscuit etc. then too it is extremely dangerous for the dog. There has been report that even a handful of grapes have led to the death of a pet so keep grapes far away from dogs.

Apples Many vets suggest pet lovers to feed apples to their pets but apple must be fed without seeds. Apple seeds are highly toxic for dogs and can cause severe intestine problem. Apples must always be fed without seeds and extra care must be taken in this regard. It is also suggested that if the dog shows any kind of abnormal behavior or its stomach is upset after consuming even small portion of apple then it must be stopped immediately.

Alcohol You must have seen in many cartoons that a dog gets drunk and then the rest is so funny but actually the rest is quite scary. The effect of alcohol on human is same as on dogs, in fact dogs will show very bad side effect since their brain and liver is smaller than that of humans. Initially after drinking it may seem that the dog is drunk but it is actually not drunk. Whatever symptoms it shows it may seem funny initially but it is actually a warning sign that the dog is losing co-ordination and its brain function is also falling. Alcohol is definitely not a dog food at any cost.

Salmon and tuna Salmon and tuna contain certain type of parasite which is harmless for humans but extremely harmful for the pet. The effect of these parasites shows up steadily and makes the dog very ill very soon. Even if the fish is cooked properly then also the bad effect of these parasites does not go away.

So ensure that the dog food list does not contain these stuffs.
