Dehydrated Treats For Pets

Wolves who are the ancestors of dogs, pray on wildlife and eat them raw. Being the descendants of wolves, dogs used to live on animals. They are born carnivores. Bones, meat, organs and all. Everything on the animal.

As direct descendants of wolves, dogs are simply not genetically optimized to consume the 50% carbohydrate content of today's commercial kibbles.

As the world progresses and many of the dogs slowly transforming to pet dogs, companies have come up with kibbles/ can food to facilitate a busy family's day. But these cannot help them to fully absorb all the nutrients and fats of eating raw.

So having to eat kibbles everyday, why not offer your dogs some dehydrated treats? The dehydration process goes through 12 hours process to SLOWLY remove all the moisture so we can keep it for about 3 to 4 weeks in the fridge. It is less messy and can be offered as a treat to them. We also added healthy flaxseed/ honey/ cinnamon to attract them to eating it.

We do not know what ingredients are in the process of manufacturing the commercial treats and it may not be a very wise choice to do that. Of course, coupling eating dehydrated treats with raw food is even better.

Which is why, we make it a point to coat manuka honey on the meat as it acts as an antibacterial agency. It kills the germs on the raw meat yet provide a sweet taste to the meat.
