During the "sensitive period" of their early life, puppies learn what is normal in their world. Dog training classes or obedience classes are a great way to meet people and their dogs and probably they are looking for the same. With the help of these classes, you will get a fair idea of other people and their pets and you can pick out the ones that suit your personality.

A pet has got to eat, right? While many people do not take their pets to the stores but a few ones do bring their buddies from time to time. This is definite opportunity to meet new people and their pets. However, it may sound a little less obvious than other options because since they are store, people are more focused on buying food for their pets rather than hang out; but it is worth a try.

Join a rescue

This is great way to meet like-minded new people. The will help you bring closer to people and animals. A volunteer organization or rescue group is a great way to meet people who share the same cause. Be careful with the animal part though. Though most of rescued animals are completely harmless, some of them may be suffering from behavioral problems due to past trauma. You need to know what you are getting into.
