Puppy Personalities?... Youre Kidding Right?

29 11:02:57

You have no doubt seen many web sites around talking about the different puppy personalities and the fact that some dogs are this and some dogs are that. Surely you don’t buy into the ideas that puppies all have different traits and ways of thinking and that they are unique? If one breed of dog likes to fetch then all breeds must like to fetch. If one dog will dig up your garden then it’s best to stay away from all dogs because they surely will all pull your roses from their roots.

Have you ever seen the dog that loves to pull your clothes off the clothes line and neatly place them into a pile on the one patch of your yard that is muddy and missing grass? If one dog likes to sit on your lap, they all love to sit on your lap. There is no difference between the puppy personalities of a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Border Collie. They both like to do the same things and they both behave in the same way… they just look different right?

Maybe not. What do you mean maybe not? A dog is a dog, they have four legs and bark, and they are all the same right? It would seem that many people believe that but surely you wouldn’t, would you?

You know that some dogs like to get up early and are bouncing around all day whilst others won’t lift as much as en eye lid before the sun is truly shinning. So if there are truly different puppy personalities, why would people continue to buy dogs with less investigation than they give their next car purchase? Many dogs will be living with you longer than you will own your next car, these days it seems like a good idea to upgrade your car at least every 5 years.

Maybe people don’t look at the benefits of owning their dog as much as they look at the benefits of owning their car? Maybe if your car could show you unconditional love and lick you to death it would make more sense. In our experience the most love our car has ever shown us is by getting us to work without breaking down. The closest our car has come to licking us to death is when we get the windscreen wipers to dry the windscreen.

  • Your puppy will wag his tail as soon as you come into view of him just about every time.
  • Your new friend will follow you around wherever you go, not because they want something of cost from you but just because they love your company.
  • Whatever it is you want to do, your pooch will do it with you for hours. Playing fetch, going for a run, riding your bike, going to the park.
  • With your permission your dog can come inside and sit on the couch with you whilst you read a book or watch TV. You can your pup as you sleep or lie next to them having a quiet chat.
  • Unconditional love will be shown by your new pup no matter what. If you are disappointed in them they will do their best to show you they are sorry. If you accidentally forget them they will be happier to see you the next time. If you neglect them they will let you know and show even more love to win your attention.

Obviously buying a car is a necessity for you in most circumstances. Although your car doesn’t show you any affection or greet you when you see it, owning one is essential for many people. Just as owning a dog may be essential for you. The benefits of having a dog are huge and can really change your life for the better so don’t you think it’s worth putting some thought into what pooch you choose?

When you think about your important decision of buying a puppy, you may want to take some time to investigate what the benefits are. Some breeds have different benefits to others so it is a good idea for you to look at the breeds and figure out which ones meet up with what you want from your new adorable pup. No doubt you put this much thought into your car which you keep for less amount of time than your new family member.
