Herbal Remedies For Dogs - Effective Or Not?

29 10:48:49

No one likes to see a dog in pain. But how do you know if the supplements you are giving them are working effectively?

Herbal remedies are a popular choice among dog owners, as most don't want to fill their beloved pet full of chemicals to help with arthritis, joint pain etc. The most common side effect with chemical remedies is placidness, causing your dog to lack energy, and basically just want to sleep all the time.

As this stops your dog being active, it in turn reduces the strain caused by exercise on their joints, causing them to be in less pain. The downside is that your pooch is a shadow of its former self, barely able to lift its head up when you come into the room.

The ingredients in most herbal remedies for dogs are:

Apis Mellifica - Formulated from honeybees, and relives stinging pain and burning.

Belladonna - Treats back pain, sharp drawing pains and stiffness in joints

Caulphyllum - Formulated from a woodland herb, and treats rheumatic stiffness.

Rhus Tox - Formulated from vine leaves, and used for its anti-inflammatory and antihistamine properties.

Ruta graveolens - Formulated from a plant, and used to treat spasmodic conditions and weakness.

All these herbal ingredients put together have a much greater chance of reducing the pain your dog is experiencing, whether it is because of general stiffness or joint pain etc.
