Do you have an out of control dog? Do you have an aggressive dog? Or do you have that dog that chews on your favorite pair of shoes when you leave it home alone to go to work or just down the street? No worries.

Training a dog is not an easy obstacle but with the right tools it can be done!

Whether it is teaching your dog to heel or to modify behavioral tendencies; there are many dog training tools out there to accommodate you and your pet. They are apart of the family right? So just like you would teach the wrongs and rights of the household, the same principles go for your dog.

Some of the most popular training tools out there are electronic devices. Electronic tools such as shock collars, or barking collars, can come in sonic or citronella. Training collars, or remote collars, send the dog an electronic vibration or a warning tone from the transmitter. These must be proceeded with much caution as to ensure dog-safety and the health of your pet. Going around shocking them will cause more damage if used improperly. Another electronic device, that is used more often than collars, is pet containment systems. These can be installed above or under ground; newer models have developed, such as wireless and indoor systems. It gives the animal an area, either large or small, to be in while you are away. As well as securing their safety from running out into the street or protecting the house from destructive behavior while you are gone.

Other effective training instruments that takes the place of any harsh punishment are the spray commander, leather pull tab collars and off leash training. Spray commander has a unique formula which acts upon the four senses of the animal; aiming to eliminate the dog's bad behavior without pain or fear. Leather pull tab collars, are short in length and by jerking on it one can instantly correct the dog's leash distance and actions. This move must be done lightly and not continuously, the aim is to control the dog, not hurt or injure the dog's trachea or the dog itself. Off leash training allows more freedom for the dog; however, it must be conducted indoors or in a fenced area outside in the preliminary trainings. Some dogs react slowly to this teaching, while other dogs transition easily.

Most commonly used training methods are positive or negative reinforcements. Such as, giving your dog treats after completing a command or punishing your dog for a wrong doing. A treat almost always gets a favorable reaction from both parties; the dog is happy and owner is proud. It is said that is also depends on the tone in which use with your dog. There are new online services that offer a professional dog trainer to guide and teach you the tones needed to aid in dog training activities such as leash walking, house breaking, and dog tricks, like sitting and rolling over.

And one of my favorite dog training tools is EXERCISE! Said to be one of the most economical training products out there. Spending time with your beloved pet and engaging in direct contact and fun can be the most rewarding and practical training methods to produce effective results.
