While growing up I would watch my siblings and the numerous pets that they have. My sister had a bird who lasted only a few years. My brother had two hamsters who lasted a bit longer - but they still didn抰 fare too well. I believed that I would be better off without any pet to concern about. That was till my dog was brought to me.

It was a cute white puppy who loved me. He craved attention when I was round and brooded around the household when I wasn抰. The toughest part was having to toilet train him. Every time we went outside he became excited and wished to explore the yard and what laid beyond it.

After a numerous escapes my parents believed that it would be easiest to invest in a dog collar that would work shock him if he tried to leave the bounds of the yard. These collars do not injure the pet - but will assist to give them a small warning about where the hidden fence is.

In the beginning it was challenging to train him. We instructed him where the hidden fence was and he discovered that the shock would happen when he was too close. Yet, this didn抰 seem to discourage him. We discovered out that it wasn抰 adequate of a shock to get through to him. So we chose to increase it a little bit.

For awhile we contemplated buying a solar electric fence. It took almost two weeks of training and a bag of treats for it to get through to him. Now he is happy to play with his toys and hang inside his doggy house. The collar has been a great investment and we are happy to keep him off the streets where he is able to get injured.
