Dry food typically has additives, but looking into what is on the ingredients list will help you make your decision. The meat should be the first ingredient. There shouldn't be more whey than anything else that provides proteins in this dog food. It is easy enough to cook the food from scratch, and then you know exactly what ingredients are in it.
