Few easy and simple ways to kill dog fleas

Lavender

It has been seen in a research that lavender is a much better dog fleas repellent than any other man made product for the same purpose. Fleas and even tick hate the smell of lavender and they will do anything to get rid of this. Arrange for some original lavender oil or if you can find for some lavender flowers that will be much better. Apply some lavender oil on certain points of the dog’s body. Take the juice of lavender and apply on some points of the dog’s body. Keep it for two days before bathing the dog.

Cats are allergic to lavender however still ask the vet, you cat may be ok with it.

Citronella

Citronella is powerful in fighting against dog fleas, ticks, black flies, and even mosquitoes. It is the best non-toxic remedy against these pests, so if you can arrange for some and apply it to your pet then it will be the best natural remedy. Citronella along with cedar wood oil is also very effective for the above purpose.

Cedar

Cedar is known to impair the mental capacity of dog fleas and other pests. It is oil, which has a lovely fragrance and will keep your pet from all types of pests. Make sure you do a small patch test to make sure that your pet is not allergic to cedar.

Peppermint

Peppermint is high menthol oil and is very powerful in killing fleas as well as mosquitoes. Along with dog fleas if mosquitoes are troubling your pet too much, apply some peppermint oil and they will not come near your pet.

Lemon grass

Lemon grass has a beautiful fragrance and helps in controlling excessive oily scalp condition. After bathing the pet and drying it properly, dab cotton with lemon grass juice to apply directly on the dog’s skin. Do not forget to do a patch test. In the rarest case, some dogs may be allergic to lemon grass but it is indeed a very good remedy to kill dog fleas.
