A lot of people ask, why enroll your dog to a dog training course and why should you, the owner know what the trainings are? It抯 basically something that most people tend to ignore; the part where they should get involved. Dogs are sensitive in nature, they tend to react to whatever their masters throw at them and they determine their mood to their master抯 mood. To train your dog, all you basically need is simply the following:

  • A love of animals ?if you can抰 tolerate animal crying, don抰 get a dog
  • Free from dog allergies ?cant love them when you抮e dead
  • Patient with dogs ?their very annoying as pups
  • Good voice control ?must be sweet but can also be commanding
  • Alert in seeing changes in a dog's behavior
  • Physically fit ?you will need to run around and play with them

A lot of people feel that their dog will not listen to them if they use positive methods that are absolutely not true. We have tried choke collars and the "traditional methods", and though it抯 ok, we can tell you that as soon as we switched to positive methods, the dog trusts more than ever and want to listen. Sometimes, I think we put too much pressure on our pets and we forget why we brought them into our lives.

I'm not sure when it became the preferred method, but here's something I do know: These days, people have grown to love their dogs more than ever. And hitting your dog with an old newspaper would be like hitting their family. That's probably why people consider it cruel.

A lot of dogs have developed fear, aggression and injuries from traditional methods.燭his is untrue, dog do not become aggressive because of training unless the training was unusually cruel, unjust and the dog did not understand what was expected, then the dog would come to fear the handler and become aggressive because it had no choice but this is not what is being discussed. If you were a knowledgeable dog trainer, you would know that all dogs do not the same to every training method. There are still situations and dogs where the rolled up newspaper is the most effective training tool. And there are other situations and dogs where it seems not to be.

Positive reinforcement teaches the dog to continue doing the thing you like, so it will learn to do more of what it'll get rewarded for than what it will get ignored of. The idea behind positive reinforcement is your dog doesn't learn to fear you. Any person that wants their dog to fear them doesn't need to have a dog anyway, that is irresponsible and immature.
