Dog allergies are a precarious piece of menace for the poor soul

 

A dog comes in every shape and size. Different breeds have different behavioral traits and personalities. With all the differences and contrasts among them, the only thing that remains constant is their unconditional love. Dogs are our companions, friends and even therapists at times in every phases of life as we walk with them. Only the pet lovers know how they become a part of our heart and make us live a better life.

Just as people, dogs can get allergies. There are many symptoms that are found in them when their systems detect those allergens. These days, it is something that haunts the owners since they know the profound vulnerability some dogs have with their dog allergies. Most of these allergens are common in every environment and are not harmful, but some dogs will react badly to dogs to certain allergens.

There are few general symptoms of allergies in dogs such as:

Hypoallergenic dog food is typically defined by the following. Among which at least one has to be maintained to avoid such allergies in them:

• Novel elementary diets
• Prescription / veterinary diets
• Limited fixed diets

Firstly, novel elementary diets contain elements the animal perhaps has never been fed with — so the dog is less sensitive to the components the food has.

Secondly, these are the foods that contain the non-allergic rather hypoallergenic ingredients.

Thirdly, since they have few items, limited fixed dog food is easier to diminish the specific allergens causing dog allergies.

 Food intolerance and food allergy often seem confusing. They are basically two separate issues.

*  A food allergy takes place when the immune system detects a particular food ingredient as threatening. The defensive antibodies are then created to fight with the enemy, the food.

*  A food intolerance is a completely a digestive issue, and not to be confused with the immune response. When a particular ingredient is not digested by the dog, it results in food intolerance.

Dogs suffer from allergies specially food allergies from a very early period till its old age. These are commonly developed in their adolescence, specifically in its age of 2-5 years. Thus hypoallergenic food for dogs is highly recommended. But you of course need to get ones that are agreeable with your dog.
