My Spoiled Dog - Oh The Life

Millions of people all over the world keep dogs as pets. My dog is five years old. I have had her since she was just a tiny pup just barely a month old. She is a total spoiled brat, but of course, I have no one to blame but myself. A lack of discipline and training have made her this way. I did manage to house break her, but that is where the training stopped.

She barks at flier delivery people, the mailman and just people walking past the house. Nothing will shut her up. She jumps on guests. Some people have suggested I see Caesar the Dog Whisperer, but I think she might be too spoiled even for him. She is affectionate and lovable, and that makes it impossible to get mad at her, no matter what she does. So she went potty on the floor. I guess I should have taken her out sooner. So she dug around in the garbage a bit. I should have closed it up better. For every bad behavior, there is always an excuse.

She loves to chase squirrels. The silly little creatures are way up on the fence, at least a meter too high for the dog to reach, but they do not realize this. They run as if she was right on their tail. It is amazing how they never fall off, especially when carrying a giant walnut, bigger than their heads, in their tiny mouths. Red squirrels have been in abundance this year. I do not know why. It is the first year I have seen any at all. Usually there are just the gray and black ones and a lot of chipmunks. But it is as if the red squirrel scared the chipmunks away, I have not seen one all year.

Like most dogs, mine does not like to be too far away from me. She is usually right at my side or, at the very least, within view. Of all her bad habits the one I would like to change the most is her barking and whining when I go outside. I can not garden or cut the grass without her having a major fit. I am afraid she might break through the window one of these days.
