Keeping rabbits as pets in a home with a garden is just normal. We, humans naturally know that rabbits need grassland to run around to keep them sane, healthy and happy. After all, that is their natural habitat. However, if you live in an apartment that does not mean that you have to give up living with cute, furry rabbits. You just need to have a big enough living room or free area in the apartment and some rabbit accessories.

To create a rabbit habitat inside your apartment, you would need to buy a lot of things. Here are just some of the things you need if you want to keep rabbits as pets inside your apartment:

-Rabbit cage
It is hazardous for rabbits to be free to roam around the apartment. They cannot be trained unlike dogs. Humans do not have the ability to tell them no or good boy. Rabbits could freely chew away your executive home office desk or your leather sofa. They could dig away in your soft couch or bed. Its best to keep rabbits in a cage when nobody is available to watch them.

-Litter pan
Like cats, rabbits are easy to litter-train. They love digging and it is in their nature to bury their deposits. Owners must keep the litter pan clean. Cleaning it once a day would help keep your apartment from smelling like a giant rabbit house.

-Rabbit feeder
Rabbits know how to eat and drink from a basin. They can also learn how to drink from a water feeder. Let your rabbits live comfortably inside their rabbit cage by giving them access to water all the time.

-Rabbit nail trimmers
If you wont be able to let your rabbit go out to dig on real dirt, you would have to trim their nails yourself. If not, their nails could damage your carpet if you let them jump around the apartment.

-Toys
Rabbits are rodents. Their teeth do not stop growing that is why they always want to chew. If they do not chew enough veggies, their teeth could grow too big. Or they could get bored and start chewing your table when you set them free in your flat.

-Bedding
Rabbits maintain their fluffiness by always sleeping on soft surfaces. That is why man-made rabbit habitats always have bedding. You do not really need to spend much money on this. You could use shredded paper just to keep their rabbit cage surface soft.

-Rabbit pellets
If you are keeping rabbits as pets inside your apartment, you cannot expect them to hunt for their own food, of course. Rabbit pellets are the easiest rabbit food to get by. If you want to feed them naturally, you can feed them carrots (Yes, like Bugs Bunny), cabbage or even just grass.

Keeping rabbits as pets could be very fun. Rabbits are quiet pets. Petting them helps relieve stress and they are very easy to maintain. You just need enough rabbit accessories at home to keep them happy.
