proceed to a fish store, and browse what they have. Heck, go to several in your area! Take a note pad and write down the species of fish that you like, and talk to the resident expert about their needs - then you can write that down, too.
Take it all home and see which breed matches the right, then cross reference the information the staff gave you to information on that breed.

People don,t largely consider food while choosing fish. There are top and floor eaters in the fish world.
mixing these are simply alright, but try to void aggressive top feeders - pellets that go to the bottom might not get to the floor feeders!
attempt to choose fish with common dietary needs, and a population that doesn't steal together will live happily together, and upbeat fish incline to live longer and be brighter.
It may sound silly but make sure your fish dont eat each other.
various aggresive fish will bite the fins of the smaller gentler fish as well.
match aggression levels and you'll get a safe match. The fish who tend to bully others do commonly keep the limits under serious injury.
