Why You Should Train Your Male Golden Retriever Puppies With Care?

Golden retrievers are a perfect family dog one can have. They represent their species well and have excellent traits. Intelligence, loyalty, good looks, loving and affectionate nature are what they are known for. They are one of the dogs who form a loving bond with the humans that last a lifetime. When it comes to golden retrievers most people prefer male golden retriever puppies over females. Those who wish to breed the dog choose females, otherwise most families opt for male. They do not differ in traits its ones personal preference.

When one has brought a golden retriever puppy home its time to train them as well. The puppy as any young animal may be a bit unruly and excitable at the start. These dogs need companionship of people or family around, they cannot be left alone by themselves.  They are a sporting breed, who have gentle expression yet are muscular and extremely beautiful. You will love the way they greet with the gentle sway of their tail when you enter the home. They are fragile and love company and in many cases, they suffer from separation anxiety if they are bored or have nothing to do.

Puppies are at a learning stage, hence the first thing that they need to be taught is obedience, basic toilet training and socialization. Always use positive reward training method with lots of encouragement and praise. Never use intimidation because they are intelligent and are avid students when it comes to crate training, house training and other obedience commands.

They are very active and love to swim, track things and love the agility training. Once the puppy is home its better to start the training. It can be done with a help of a trainer or if you have an idea, then you can teach him things. Male golden retriever puppies or females both are easy to train and handle. For years, these dogs have served in many capacities as service dogs, guide dogs, and narcotics detection dogs. They thrive on human attention and simply love to get involved in whatever the family is doing.  They will turn the way they are raised and if done correctly, they are friendly to people and animals as well as being extremely inquisitive and confident.

It is must to teach them down, stay, no and heal the basic commands at an early age. If the dog pees at the wrong place in the house then you should be gentle and use calming methods, shouting and scolding will not help it will rather scare him. Just calm the young one and he will soon learn what is right and what is not. When it comes to training golden retrievers make sure you do in a gentle way. They are wonderful animals and if taught well and kindly they turn into the perfect family dogs.
