Ranthambore National Park

Ranthambore National Park is located in Sawai Madhopur district of the Indian state of Rajasthan. This wildlife spot is at 130 km from the state capital of Jaipur. It was elevated to the status of national park in 1980. The best visiting time is from November to March. At this time, you can visit here and explore different species like:

Species of Flora: Khajur, Neem, Jamun, Dhak, Dhok, Banyan Species of Animals: Indian Gerbilles, Tigers, Leopards, Desert Cats, Striped Hyenas, Blue Bull, Striped Hyenas, Caracal, Common Yellow Bats.

Species of Birds: Great Indian Horned Owl, Cuckoos, Cormorants, Parakeets, Nightjars, Indian Gray Hornbills, Darters, Bitterns, Flamingos, Pigeon, Graylag Goose, Flycatchers, Dove, Herons.

How to reach there: By Air: 180 km from Jaipur. It is the nearest airport from Ranthambore national park.

By Rail: 11 km from Sawai Madhopur. It is the nearest railway station located on Delhi to Mumbai trunk route.

By Road: Ranthambore is also well linked to all the neighboring and major cities of Rajasthan viz. Agra, Delhi, Jaipur and some others.

Bandhavgarh National Park

Bandhavgarh National Park is in Umaria district of Madhya Pradesh. This park is popular for its Royal Bengal Tigers. Here, you can view so many thrilling species which will spell bind you a lot. The ideal time to visit here is from mid November to mid June.

Species of Flora: Saja, Jamun, Sal, Mahua, Bamboo, Sundew. Species of Animals: Tigers, Bengal Fox, Barking Deer, Sloth Bear, Spotted Deer, Leopards, Three-Striped Palm Squirrel.

Species of Birds: Dove, Black Vulture, Red Jungle Fowl, Dove, Lesser Golden-Backed Woodpecker, Egrets, Little Grebe.

How to reach there: By Air: There are two nearest airports located at Jabalpur (200 km) and Khajuraho (230 km).

By Train: Around 30 km at Umaria which is the nearest railway station to reach Bandhavgarh.

By Road: Bandhavgarh is also well connected with bus services that you can get from Rewa, Katni, Satna, and Umaria.

Rajaji National Park

Rajaji National Park spreads over an area of 820.42 sq. km. in three districts of Uttaranchal viz. Dehradun, Haridwar and Pauri Garhwal. This park is open from 15th November to 15th June. Here, you will be able to explore a vast variety of species such as: Species of Flora:

Species of Animals: Himalayan Yellow-Throated Marten, Sloth Bears, Jackals, Hyenas, Wild Dogs, Sambar, Barking Deer, Wild Boars, Leopards, Jungle Cat, Civets, Bengal Tigers, Asian Elephants.

Species of Birds: Pied Hornbills, Rollers, Parakeets, Wagtails, Kingfishers, Storks, Fly Catchers, Pea Fowl, Jungle Fowl, Chestnut-headed bee-eaters, Woodpecker, Barbet, Finch.

How to reach there: By Air: Jolly Grant Airport, around 50 km at Dehradun is the nearest airport to reach here.

By Train: There are two major railheads- Haridwar (9 km) and Dehradun (50 km).

By Road: This park is located at a straight route from Delhi along NH 58 by Meerut and Haridwar. Buses are also available to Haridwar from Delhi.
