Krabi Province is an area of outstanding natural beauty in southern east coast of Thailand. It is a riverside settlement that is worth visiting where you can find different types of coral and fabulously rich varieties of tropical fish. Dotted with rarely visited tropical islands, waterfalls and palm fringed beaches; Krabi is nearly 160km along its coastline. It is a stunningly beautiful area of Thailand known for the classic virgin beaches fringed with towering limestone formations. It is a great place to relax, so most of the beaches can be reached only by the means of boat. Krabi, a place known for its scenic attractions can be reached by road in two ways one is by Phuket-Koh Phi Phi - Krabi and the other is eastern coast of Peninsula. Nearly 1237 steps lead you to the Tiger Cave Temple, a temple on the peak of a mountain. A nice trip that is worth visiting as the whole area is temple. An extraordinary and a tranquil world is Railay, just south of Ao Nang Beach. Soaring limestone cliffs, a lagoon hidden inside the cliffs and gorgeous white sand beaches can be found in one small peninsula. It offers chilled-out evenings and adventure forays as the only access is by sea. Krabi is surrounded by nearly 200 islands that rise precipitously out of the sea. A must-see place known for its outstanding natural beauty is the Crystal Lagoon in the Thung Teao Forest Natural Park. The nature trek in the Khao Pra-Bang Kram area is a superb place to spot plant species and rare animals.

Separated by white sand and limestone beach it is amazing to see Talay Waek connecting the two islands at low tide. An outcrop of rock which does indeed look a bit like a chicken is the Chicken Island. It is an exciting experience to see the hanging stalactites in deep coves around the island. You can engage in diving in the islands near Krabi which is one of the most popular activates here. These are one of the favourite spots along the coast because of the good clear water that is found here. Islands can be explored individually by taking the Kayaks/canoes for rent from the beaches at Ao Nang. Hot springs found nearly 70 Km form Krabi town is believed to come from the underground volcanic chambers.

A famous island comprising of two smallish, rocky islands is the Koh Phi Phi Natural Park as the islands are famous for its spectacular beaches and coral formations. An enormous slab of rock that is still forming for the last 35 million years is the Fossil Shell Cemetery. The only museum showcasing various artifacts found during excavation is the Wat Khlong Thom Museum. Jutting abruptly in to the sea is the Viking Cave in Phi Phi Island in which the cave is 3.2 square kilometre in size.
