Kids Todays Favorite Spongebob Squarepants

I remember back when I was in college, I used to watch some of the kiddie cartoons...Fine, until now I still do. But one cartoon that I'm sure everyone knows, and that is the one being shown at Nickelodeon channel. The nave and goofy sea sponge who works as a fry cook in the fictional underwater town of Bikini Bottom named SpongeBob SquarePants. Together with his dumb bestfriend Patick (who is a star fish), they make the show very entertaining to both kids and adults. SpongBob lives in a large pineapple-house with his pet snail Gary (who sounds like a cat), and has a neighbor named Squidward who is also his co-worker at the Krusty Krab.

Just to give you a trivia about SpongeBob, did you know that the creators of SpongeBob originally named him SpongeBoy but this name was already in use in a mop product. They want to retain the name Sponge so that the audience would not mistake the character for a cheese...Well, come to think of it, he does look like a cheese. Then all of a sudden, they came with the name SpongeBob and had his last name Squarepants because their reason is that it has a nice ring to it.

To be honest, I'm not really a big fan of this show. I mean I do watch it if that is on TV, but I don't know all the episodes. Don't get me wrong SpongBob fans, I really like the show because it's funny. One episode that I can never forget was the time when SpongeBob, Squidward, and Patrick where having a snail race. It was Spongbob's snail Gary, against Squidward's snail who I don't know what the name is, and Patrick's rock...yes, you've read it right. A solid non living rock. SpongeBob and Squidward were making their snail work so hard because they both want to win the race. I know they have a bet, I just forgot what it is. Anyway, Patrick was vey relax and just happy for his pet. When the day of the race came, the two snails were head to head while Patrick's rock was still in the starting line...That was funny I'm telling you guys. Spongebob and Squidward were to busy pressuring their snails to go faster until they collapse. So, guess who won the race...It was Patrick's rock who was all of a sudden, in the finish line. I don't know how that happened, but it did.

I'm not updated anymore with the show. I don't know if Patrick is still SpongeBob's bestfriend, or if Squidward is SpongeBob's new bestfriend, or if he is no longer the employee of the month in Krusty Krab...I just don't know! One thing is for sure, the show still brings laughter to the kids and adults. I think from the year it started the show which was 1999 to this year, it has 103 episodes already. I'm pretty sure the show will stay for a long time as long as there are SpongeBob fans in this world...and Patrick fans of course (that includes me).
