One of the most recognized dog breeds in the world, Chihuahuas are certainly a favourite breed among celebrities as they have unique personalities and often kept as designer dogs decked out with accessories. They weigh about 4 to 6 pounds on average, and are extremely loyal to their master. They are overprotective and affectionate to their owners that is why they make an excellent pet. Just one thing about Chihuahuas, they tend to bark a lot.

The Bichon Frise is one of the smallest dog breeds  that literally means “curly lap dog” in the French language. They typically weigh around 10 to 20 pounds, and covered with a white and fluffy coat. They are very playful with children, as well as other animals. You might have to bring them quite often to the pet groomers as their coat requires grooming regularly.

Boston Terrier

Boston Terriers are known for their small and compact frame, with erect ears and short tail. They are known to be very intelligent and highly trainable, which makes them a great companion, particularly with kids. Just watch out for them since they tend to chew things a lot, so keep those valuables away from them.

French Bulldog

“Frenchies”, as what people commonly call them, are one of the smallest kinds of dogs that are closely related to the American and English Bulldogs. Shih Tzus are quite a small breed. They look bigger because of their dense coat that will require you to visit a groomer frequently. They are also one of the friendliest and sociable doggies that make them the ideal pets for kids.
